Welcome to NASA in KANSAS, one address for the Kansas Space Grant Consortium (KSGC), the Kansas NASA EPSCoR Program (KNEP), and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Frequent visits to NASAinKANSAS.org will update you on NASA’s educational outreach activities in Kansas. Primarily, those are the scholarships and fellowships, the KSGC university and museum affiliates’ activities within their respective educational communities, and the KNEP research projects.
The KSGC and KNEP separately propose to NASA to win grant funding to support training for teachers and students and for research, respectively. Both groups are 501(c)(3) nonprofit, public charity organizations in the State of Kansas.
Each of the KSGC and KNEP organizations is governed by a separate Executive Committee composed of one representative from each affiliate in the respective organization. The lead institution and host of the Central Office is Wichita State University, with L. Scott Miller, Ph.D., serving as director, Eddie Irani, Ph.D., serves as associate director and Linda Cory, BA, serving as Program Coordinator. All three positions are for both KSGC and KNEP organizations.
